It's inspiring to see a block of wood come to life, knowing it has been here for many generations before me, and knowing that it will be here long after I’m gone. Carving the wood grounds me and connects me to my ancestors and the world.

I am currently working on a Model Totem Pole -

At the base: Grizzly Bear represents the strength of the North, holding a fish, the protein that kept many Nations alive.
Above the Bear:The Thunderbird, a supernatural figure that is part of many cultures across Turtle Island.
At the top is the Chief, our ancestor, wearing a Sun Mask, and holding his Family’s Copper.
